Mango Lassi is a traditional South Asian non-alcoholic beverage and is one of the most popular beverages in Northern India. Mango Lassi is also a favourite at Indian restaurants. Whenever I visit an Indian restaurant, I will order this cold and soothing yogurt drink to go with the spicy Indian dishes. Mango lassi is a cross between a smoothie and a milk shake and is smooth, creamy, and absolutely heavenly! This drink is such a refreshing drink to have in our hot climate. For those who are health-conscious, opt for low-fat or fat-free yogurt to cut the calories. Lassi has lot of health benefits. The beverage is prepared using yogurt which is sour fermented form of milk. It has healthy bacteria which helps in preventing or treating urinary infections. One of the main health benefits of yogurt is that it is very good for the stomach. Yogurt cools the stomach and helps disperse body heat. So, having lassi rich in yogurt brings it share of health benefits. Another important benefit of yogurt in lassi is that it helps in preventing sun stroke. This is a super easy recipe that requires just 5 minutes to prepare. Delicious, healthy and easy. What are you waiting for? Ingredient 250ml plain yogurt 125ml milk 3 fresh mango, stoned and sliced 4 tsp sugar Method Put all the ingredients into a blender and blend for few minutes until everything is mixed well and become smooth. Pour into individual glasses, and serve.  For variation, you can try salt and cardamom seeds.  The lassi can be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Enjoy! I am submitting this post to Asian Food Fest - Indian Subcontinent hosted by me - Chef and Sommelier.
