Buttermilk White Sauce

Measure the flour as you would for baking by lightly spooning it into a measuring cup and leveling with the back of a knife. This will help you avoid a thick, pastelike sauce. Don't try to add both milk and buttermilk at one time--the sauce will curdle.   This recipe goes with Cheddar-Pecan Green Bean Casserole
