  • chickpeas dry ( garbanzo beans- preferrably black ones from indian stores that are slightly lower in carb and higher in protein), 1 cup; soak overnight, rinse and drain.
  • suran, indian yam, 11 oz -frozen, cleaned, cut in cubes but, uncooked
  • trader joe's sea salt, 0.5 tsp
  • coconut, raw, 1 cup, shredded fresh or frozen.
  • *hot chili peppers, 2 pepper -roasted in a skillet with a drop of oil
  • tamcon tamarind concentrate, 1/8 tsp - 1/4tsp.
  • split black gram (urad dal ), 1 tbsp roast in a drop of oil till brown and fragrant.
  • olive oil, 1 tbsp
