  • try finger foods for casual summertime meals. combine chickenwings with a blue cheese spread on crispbread and lots of rawvegetables for a tasty and easy meal.
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) emeril’s™ original essence
  • 24 maple leaf prime naturally™ chicken wing drummettes (1 ½ lb /750 g)
  • ⅓ cup (75 ml) orange herb/poppy seed basting sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) soy sauce
  • 2-3 tsp (10-15 ml) hot pepper sauce
  • ½ tsp (2 ml) ground ginger
  • sprinkle essence over both sides of drummettes. arrange chicken in single layer on greased baking sheet. bake at 350°f (180°c) 40-45 minutes or until chicken is browned.
  • combine basting sauce, soy sauce, red pepper sauce and ginger. brush ½ sauce mixture over chicken; cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  • heat remaining sauce and serve with chicken. serves 6.
  • per serving: 178 calories; 13.7 g protein; 9.8 g fat,7.8 g carbohydrate; 0.3 g dietary fibre. an excellent source of niacin.
