  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) petite diced tomatoes with garlic and olive oil (i use del monte brand, others would work)
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
  • 1 cup milk
