Sweet and Peppery Sauteed Cabbage and Noodles

The cabbage gets really soft and sweet after sauteing in oil and sugar and the black pepper makes it spicy; the combination tastes amazing. This is one of my most requested side dishes. Please note this makes a lot so you can cut this in half.

  • 1/2 cup mild flavored oil (can use more)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 30 ounces bow tie pasta, cooked and drained
