This is a Japanese dish that's very simple, yet filling. It's not as strange as you'd think! The tea makes a wonderful broth! It's known as 'ocha-zuke'.

  • cooked, steamed short grain rice (about 1cup/person)
  • green tea that is steeped and hot
  • tuna or salmon filet that is cooked to your liking (for ease i often use sunkist lightly seasoned tuna filet that's already cooked in the package!) probably about half a filet will feed one person.
  • soy sauce (to taste)
  • roasted sesame seeds(optional)
  • seaweed (nori, the kind used to make sushi) that is cut into thin strips (optional)
  • wasabi paste (optional)
